This Privacy Policy describes how Camila Topbar (“the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you install and use our application on your Shopify store.
1. Who We Are
We are an independent Shopify app developer offering Camila Topbar, a customizable announcement bar tool that allows merchants to display static text, countdown timers, sliders, marquees, icons, animations, and other visual elements on their storefront.
2. What Data We Collect
The App is a storefront embed app block. It does not collect, store, or process any personal information from merchants or their customers as part of its core functionality.
The only data involved includes:
- Shopify store information — provided by Shopify during the installation process (e.g., store name, domain, and access token), used solely to authenticate and deliver the app to your storefront.
- App configuration settings — design preferences you set within the app (such as text, colors, timers, and animation options). These are stored to display your announcement bar correctly.
We do not collect names, emails, payment data, customer behavior data, or any other sensitive personal information through the app’s operation.
3. How We Use the Data
The limited data we access is used exclusively to:
- Install and authenticate the App on your Shopify store.
- Display and render your configured announcement bar on your storefront.
- Save your design preferences so they persist across sessions.
We do not use your data for marketing, profiling, or any other purpose.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties. The App runs on our own infrastructure and does not integrate with any external analytics, advertising, or data processing services.
5. Data Storage and Security
Configuration data is stored securely on our servers. We apply industry-standard security practices to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss.
6. Data Retention
We retain your app configuration data for as long as the App is installed on your store. Upon uninstallation, your configuration data is deleted from our servers within 30 days.
7. Your Rights
As a merchant, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any data we hold associated with your store at any time by contacting us.
8. Shopify’s Role
The App is built on the Shopify platform. Shopify independently collects and processes data related to your store and its customers under their own Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
